Processing a memory by transforming emotions in shapes and colours, producing a handcrafted print by learning screen printing and stencil techniques, drawing new alphabetic characters discovering the potential of the brushpen, these are only some of the activities offered during Torino Graphic Days. After the success of its first edition, the rendezvous with graphic design is back from the 12th to the 15th of October, within the frame of Torino City of Design 2017, with a rich calendar of workshops, talks, exhibitions and performances.
Some of the most interesting names of the international graphic and visual communication scene – as the artist Patrick Thomas, the New Yorker’s illustrator Olimpia Zagnoli, the curator Alexander Tochilovsky and the graphic designer Reudi Baur – will be invited with the aim of engaging not only professionals, but a wider public through meetings and activities.
The second edition of Torino Graphic Days expands beyond the 4 days planned at Toolbox Coworking and, in fact, it has already been running #InTheCity. On the 7th of September a widespread month of events started to involve and prepare the entire city to the main event. With an array of drawings, collages, performances, maps, illuminated books on show in museums, institutions and businesses, visual art is already starring in Turin.
